Assertive Communication
Even the most expressive people have difficulty speaking up!
This program focuses on communication processes and strategies of effective leaders. Topics include patterns of organizational communication, knowledge of international and multicultural phenomena, and experience with in-depth study, biases in perception and judgments, networking, feedback, psychological processes in decision-making, formal and informal channels of information sharing, knowledge of international and multicultural phenomena, and experience with in-depth study. The program is structured around case study, experimental learning, individual or group training, and supported by coaching.
Program Learning Outcomes:
- Participants will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the various leadership and communication theories
- Participants will demonstrate critical, analytical thinking about communications
- Students will engage others actively and effectively in participating, communicating and leading
- Participants will demonstrate self-awareness and effective relationships between themselves and others and better understand intercultural communication as a utilitarian tool for today’s leaders.
- Participants will evaluate the difference between assertive and aggressive styles of communication. After this program, participants will have the ability to communicate assertively and create winning solutions as leaders.
